Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation, Edmonton, Alberta

Entrusted with all aspects of creative strategy, development, implementation, and results review, ensuring all content is impactful and delivers passionate messages to prospective donors with the aim of increasing financial contributions to the Foundation. Direct creative direction, cinematography, editing, AI graphic and audio generation, 2D and 3D motion graphics, graphic design, photography, storyboarding, and AI art creation. Form, maintain, and build relationships with department heads and hospital executives to gain access to various areas of the hospital for shooting purposes in a what is typically a very strictly controlled environment.
Key Achievements:
· Directed all creatives for 125th anniversary of the 400-page Royal Alex Hospital hard cover book; the first comprehensive and detailed history of the hospital. Included color palette, fonts, dust jacket, and end sheets as well as designing the cover, essentially functioning as Creative Director for the book.
· Introduced new insights, designs, and practices for new Royal Alex Foundation branding, gaining buy-in from staff and leadership to create a look and feel that everyone could support to maintain a cohesive brand.
· Generated an immediate 300% increase in participations and donations by rebranding old Foundation programs to bring them up to date. For example: Amazing at the Alex program that allows staff and patients to nominate individual employees for outstanding work and care.
· Increased revenue and raised awareness for various departments by beginning a comprehensive creative direction for the Foundation’s videos, including shooting, editing, and coloring engaging video, graphics, and motion graphic content.Introduced use of professionally designed branded motion graphics and a plan to brand all video content.
Canada Rugby / HSBC Canada Sevens Tournament, Vancouver, BC
February 2016 – March 2023
As creative lead for Rugby Canada, coordinated all social media (video director, producer, and editor) while working all year on products for the HSBC Sevens Tournament. Assignments included motion graphics, creative designs, and stadium videos for the tournament and its sponsors as well as managing, directing, and editing social media content for all of the games.
Provided leadership, support, and direction for 4 videographers and photographers for each day of the 3-day tournament.
Key Achievements:
· Served as Lead and primary contact for all things related to motion graphics and creatives for the HSBC Vancouver Sevens that attracted 70K+ spectators and 12 participating countries.
· Created innovative stadium content for LED, TV, and broadcast, including producing for 20+ sponsors, including HSBC and other international, national, and local sponsors.
The Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver, BC
August 2006 – July 2020
Oversaw all creative items — from building and directing to managing implementation — including in-stadium and broadcast advertising for live games as well as brand content for games, concerts, and special events as brand lead to ensure consistent look and presentation.
Led and mentored team of 8 tech and creative members who produced the content and graphics.
Held multiple jobs: Associate Creative Director, Broadcast Motion Graphics, and Creative Director for internal and sponsor brand multimedia content.
Key Achievements:
· Served as creative director and designer for several millions in sponsored content for LEDs, TVs, and broadcast.
· Directed and troubleshot millions of dollars’ worth of visual equipment and prospective external vendors.
Designer
· Designed men’s and lady’s wrist watches and bands for private and major labels such as Tommy Hilfiger and Pepsi Co.
· Instructed overseas manufacturers on watch face, case, and movement choices/designs.
· Designed brochures, tradeshow booths, in-store displays, and packaging that drove revenue.
